About India Garden
Our History
Back in the 1970s when we first arrived in the UK lots of British people had never even tried curry. We opened India Garden to showcase the best of the food we knew from back home in Bangladesh and people flocked from far and wide to try this exciting new food. We were the first curry house in Burgess Hill and are proud to have introduced Indian flavours to many generations of local people.
We opened in 1976, in the thirty-eight years that followed the town has grown larger and gained hundreds of new people. We have always been delighted to welcome everyone to our traditional tandoori restaurant and look forward to doing so for many years to come.
